Les offres Station d'Ecologie Expérimentale du CNRS a Moulis

The Station in Moulis was founded in the early 1950ties as Laboratoire Souterraine de Moulis. The main motivation at that time to create a station in Moulis (close to Saint Girons, Ariege) was the proximity of an extensive cave system, easy to access. The work of the Laboratoire focused on (i) studies of cave formation and ecofunction in karstic environments, and (ii) studies of hypogenic organisms.

Now, the laboratory in Moulis is in transition under the new director Jean Clobert. Moulis is exiting the underground, putting focus on Experimental Ecology. This goes along with a change in its name – since 1.1.2007 the station has the official name Station d’Ecologie Expérimentale du CNRS. It is an USR (Unité de Service et Recherche) and as many other biological stations / field stations does welcome researchers from all over the world. This webpage is dedicated to inform the public, but especially scientists around the globe of our facilities, services and research. You are warmly welcome to rummage around our pages.
