Environmental Engineer H/F

Description du poste

• Report to : Projects & Operations Manager
• Type of contrat : CDI
• Location : Lorient ou Paris. The role could include business travels to different locations worldwide and offshore works.

The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for providing Environment support to the Global Renewable Solutions (GRS) Business particularly focus on Floating Offshore Wind and Onshore Power Project during development phase in France and abroad.

The position plays a key role in driving the overall Shell strategy and objectives on Respecting Nature and in driving the HSE culture throughout the organization. This will include:
- Support Eolfi projects to comply with Environmental requirements of the Shell HSSE&SP Control Framework in a fit-for-purpose manner.
- Work closely with GRS team to ensure proper Environmental due diligence support for the various activities (e.g : Acquisition deals, Lease round tender, greenfield development…) within GRS, and ensure fit-for-purpose implementation plans are developed for the Environmental risks identified.
- Provide Environmental expertise support, manage Environmental Impact Assessment, drive compliance with environmental regulatory, internal requirements and environmental performance improvement.
- Adapting the workload with arising opportunities, it should also include similar tasks and responsibilities for GRS projects outside Eolfi portfolio,
Requires active engagement with Eolfi and Shell stakeholders to support projects, R&D programs, internal Shell studies or reviews.

> The main missions are:
• Technical lead on offshore wind and onshore power infrastructures (onshore wind and solar)
environmental matters.
• Coordinate technical environment work for projects
• Establish, lead and manage environmental risk analysis and studies.
• Manage key agreements including negotiation and contracting phases related to environmental
disciplines for floating offshore and onshore power projects in close collaboration with C&P.
• Define scope of work and coordinate environmental deliverables in accordance with national
regulatory requirements, Shell HSSE requirements, and Project standards, as well as support the integration and implementation of studies’ recommendations by Project manager.
• Provide dedicated support to direct reports.
• Develop and lead environmental plans and budgets.
• Manage Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) contractors, 3rd party specialists and consultants
in support of EIA, as needed.
• Participate in various Workshop to support projects as well as prepare or provide input into HSSE
and SP plans, Stakeholder engagement plans, Local content for project in line with the requirements of the HSSE Control Framework.

> Education and Experience
• Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences or related fields with significant experience in Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering and Environmental Consulting;
• Typically, 5 - 10 years of experience in environmental assessment, including management of contractors, and development of practical and pragmatic environmental plans;
• Good understanding of HSE management principles and their application;
• Good technical knowledge and experience to provide credible advice adapted to the business needs;
• Candidates with experience gained through Environmental Consulting, Technology development and or research in the Renewables;
• Fluent in French and able to communicate in English.
