Sustainability Assets Management Intern H/F

Description du poste

Support to the procurement activities:
• Identify relevant carbon offsetting projects to meet client’s demands and participate to the creation of tailored made portfolio of projects;
• Manage the database of projects and enrich the document on a weekly basis;
• In collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, as well as with the Portfolio Manager, create attractive and complete marketing materials for the business opportunities in French and English;
• Develop a thorough understanding of the voluntary carbon market challenges, and carry out in-depth analyses of the evolutions and expectations Post 2020 on several key regions (LATAM, Asia, etc.);
• Development of the Energy Attributes Certificates (EACs) offer at EcoAct: undertaking market analysis on the demand and supply of EACs, supporting the sourcing of certificates for EcoAct managers, developing relationships with providers and device owners, operate online trading platforms to retire certificates, maintaining internal databases, and reporting on activity;
• Internal quality control and audits, and in particular management of EcoAct’s internal registry for offsets transactions;

Support to project development and innovation:
• Monitoring digitalization related to EcoAct’s cookstoves projects in Kenya. In particular, development and testing of EcoAct’s new eMonitoring tool;
• Support to feasibility studies for development of new carbon projects by EcoAct (emission reductions estimates, cost estimates and drafting of investment plans);

Profil recherché

Required Skills
• Fluency in French and English; other languages are a desirable;
• In-depth interest in climate change-related issues and broad interest in carbon finance and new environmental markets;
• Rigorous, curious and organized;
• Collaborative and independent - both team player and being able to work autonomously;
• Adaptable and flexible;
• Ability to analyse information and deliver results fast;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Interested in new tools, software, working methods;
• Not afraid of numbers and statistics;
• Mastery of Microsoft Office and MRV tools;
• Capacity to synthesize.

Qualifications
• Masters students in Engineering, International Relations, Public Policy, Sustainable Business, or a related field, ideally with a focus on environment/climate change.

Conditions
• Duration: 6 months - Start date : September 2019
• Location : 75008 Paris (Miromesnil).
• Compensation: 800 € gross/month + reimbursement of 100% pass “Navigo” + tickets restaurant
