DEKRA Industrial is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Engineer, to join an major project in the offshore activity.
The Health & Safety Engineer will be dedicated to the Offshore Substation package from day one. The nature of this job function is Quality Engineering Technology driven which comprises product safety, quality & engineering safety, this as well includes the planning, setting up and reviewing of processes relevant for the manufacturing, shipping, installation and completion of the Offshore Substation so that there will be no plant/machinery concern.
This is realized by applying a process-oriented system which is achieved through inspections, testing, evaluation and quality and engineering safety tools and techniques to identify hazards, defects, or deviations from specifications.
The job holder will be required to:
• Drive engineering safety and relevant processes based on quality assurance approach by applying methodologies as such hazard analysis, risk assessment under European harmonized standards; fault tree analysis.
• Develop the safety, rescue and evacuation concept for the Offshore Substation against general windfarm set up
• Verify the Offshore Substation's fire protection concept, and in doubt, seek consult from fire protection expert or French authorities
• Comment and review installation and commissioning procedures with a focus on machine and plant safety
• Set up an ‘audit program' so that the manufacturer and its (sub-)contractors are audited, selected and qualified against industry best practice, legal and quality requirements, including on effective and documented follow-up actions
• Develop and apply a sound understanding of European harmonized standards and drive the verification of conformity to assure machine and plant safety
• Provide constant H&S management support to the project site by assuring through regular meetings, walk-downs and reporting through the site team
Profil recherché
• The job holder is to minimum educated to a Bachelors (BSc/BEng) degree being Health & Safety oriented.
• Minimum five years offshore wind experience is preferred, alternatively approximately 10 years' experience in plant engineering background is seen as equivalent
• Must have a good understanding or desire for European and harmonized Health & Safety (legislative) requirements
• ISO 45001 and 9001 knowledge would be beneficial
• The successful candidate shall speak fluently French and English. Spanish language would be beneficial
• Some travels are expected : France, London, Glasgow, Madrid, offshore assignments
