Mission :
We recruit for our customer, a leading company specialized in environmental sector, a general manager for a chemical plant.
The plant treats hazardous waste by incineration. The plant includes 2 incineration lines of hazardous waste with a total capacity of 60,000 tons per annum. An extension of the capacity is currently under study.
The plant is located in the South of Shanghai (1 hour by car)

The General Manager will be P&L responsible of a Joint Venture (50% French group - 50% Local Partner) and will be responsible for the financial, and operational performance of the Company. The General Manager will have to set objectives and to develop and implement an adequate strategy (approved by Board directors). The General Manager will lead a team of 110 employees.

- Manage the employees of the Joint Venture
- Report financial performance of the Company
- Manage a team in charge of procurement
- Manage a commercial team in charge of customers’ relationship and commercial contracts.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of the plant
- Ensure compliancy with all environmental standard
- Ensure solid safety performance of the site
- Follow up the extension project and coordinate with project team (up to 10 millions investment)
