Head of Technical Asset Management for French Assets, VCFR H/F

Description du poste

Ensuring VCFR manage a portfolio of approx. 100MW renewable assets (wind mainly) safely and efficiently in compliance with FRANCE law, permits and corporate procedures. Maximising performances through a remote high level monitoring and improving asset reliability through a continue supervision on service provider ordinary activities, an efficient coordination for in house or third party specialized services, a detailed review of service agreement scope and warranties and a proactive presence on site. The assets to be operated are nine windfarm with 4/5 WTGs each one located in different regions between central, north east and west of FRANCE: the technology installed are NORDEX mainly, but also ENERCON, SENVION and FURLHANDER.
Main Tasks :
Portfolio Monitoring
• Daily remote monitoring (24x7x365 basis) activity of the wind farms, via an internal web base portal or WTGs’ SCADA), its performance and operation: individual and aggregated productions, wind speeds at WTG and met mast, among other relevant metrics and elements
• Identification of opportunities to improve the wind farms performances by analyzing operational data and trends, minimizing turbine down time and other incidences
• Analysis of alarms, incidences and occurrences at the wind farms and related troubleshooting
• Performing on site operations to the extent those are possible (start/stop the WTGs, ensuring WTGs safety stop allowing checks and inspections, etc.)
• Primary communications interface with on-site operating staff (either internal or external), utilities, , independent system operators (where applicable), land owners and farmers, and any other stakeholders
• Responding to events and activate necessary measures and actions that can involve external intervention from the O&M provider or any other services providers or other parties
• Ensure the implementation of grid operator commands including active curtailments and power factor adjustments
• Main point of contact between the grid operator and the wind farm
• Ensure the plant trips remotely when required in light of a H&S or major fault event.

O&M supervision
• Monitoring of the O&M providers activities and making sure they are complying with their respective O&M Agreements, and general guidelines required by law or any applicable manufacturer, in accordance with the standards of a reasonable and prudent operator
• Diligent communication to the O&M providers of any incidence related with their work and/or the performance of the wind farms and follow up of their effective response
• Monitor and report the different O&M works and interventions and follow up of those to make sure they meet the necessary quality levels and best practices, and also are in line the O&M agreements
• Verification of the compliance of all the warranties defined in the O&M contracts and other operational contracts, mainly the availability warranty, and, if applicable, process and manage possible claims, that could be in the form of liquidated damages
• Conduct regular meetings/calls with the O&M providers to review progress, aspects related with turbines or other elements and general performance of the O&M works
• Review the O&M provider reports (production, performance ratios, availability of WTGs, etc.) and, if applicable, challenge its content
• Control and review the implementation of the WTG operator quality assurance plans, procedures, inspection, tests and check sheets
• Working with the WTG and eBOP O&M companies, and any other third parties, to ensure that the scheduled maintenance interventions are performed during low wind periods.
• Validation of the preventive O&M plan on an annual basis, based on O&M contract requirements, technology and site specificities and best industry practices

Periodic site visits
• Execute physical visits and quality inspections on site, to analyze the general situation of the turbines and other wind farms elements (roads, foundations, buildings, personnel on site, etc.) and its compliance with the project and O&M agreements
• Support in house specialized inspections on main components (blades, drive train, HV equipment).
• Follow up for already performed O&M interventions and analysis of ongoing repairs, retrofit and upgrades.
• In case of incidents or major performance problems, a site visit should be performed to assess the problem and work on mitigation plans
• Implementation and follow-up of HSE matters (e.g. prevention plan, …)

Compliance and communication with Planning Authority and local authorities
• Wind farms compliance with any regulations and practices, including ICPE regulations
• Wind farms compliance with internal procedures
• Relationships with Planning authority and local stakeholders (land owners, cities, …)

QHSE
• Management and filling of the wind farms documentation
• Implementation of Health & Safety & Environment & Risk Management System
• Monitor & record & provide allowance (including control of safety conditions, planned works, specific prohibition information, ...) to any worker, visitor or other thid party to access the site and assume the control over the farm, in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements and best industry practices.

Profil recherché

• IT literate with advanced skills and experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Fluent in English. Italian knowledge is a plus.
• Operations/technical background with practical experience is mandatory
• 5 years of experience in similar role is mandatory too as well international experience.
• Flexibility to travel and to be on site till 60% of the time.
• Remote office, homeworking solution acceptable but to be considered at least one month visit to FKR FRANCE headquarters in Rennes as well a quarterly meeting in Milano (FKR headquarters).
• Flexibility to move office location in the future.
• Soft skill: team leadership and (possibly) team management experience are key factor.
• TAM team in France to be structured: candidate will have chance to manage in the next future two junior asset manager based in Rennes.
