Main responsibilities
Mechanical studies of "Electrolyzer" products:
Mechanically dimension the packaging structures (containers, gas plates, etc.);
Optimize integrations from a safety, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance point of view;
Carry out detailed studies of mechanical sub-assemblies (3-D design);
Draw up plans for the assembly lines of the sub-assemblies;
Integrate and verify the detailed studies at the product/system level to constitute a complete mechanical design file, including the “As Built”, in accordance with the list of components;
Track mechanical requirements of subassemblies from the system/product specification.
Subcontracting:
Have requests for quotations for mechanical sub-assemblies completed;
Manage the subcontracting of studies and realizations;
Ensure a technological watch on 3D design tools and manufacturing technologies;
Organize and lead technical meetings on the mechanical part;
Provide the necessary information to monitor the work done and the remaining work to be done;
Consult with manufacturers for mechanical sub-assemblies during the development and implementation phase.
Product assembly phase:
Provide components, participate, and validate the development of manufacturing routings with the method/manufacturing team;
Accompany and support the manufacturing and assembly phases in the workshop;
Critical feedbacks to optimize the design according to Quality, Cost and Time criteria.
Engineering degree in mechanics;
Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machines;
Experience in production (small and medium series) to integrate mechanical design in manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance in safety;
Knowledge of PED (Pressure Equipment Directive);
Design of 3D/2D pipe routing for both machinery and plant;
Mastery of CAD tools including FEM/ CFD simulators;
Knowledge of process equipment;
Fluent in English for everyday communication with global teams;
Very good knowledge of SolidWorks;
Ability to analyze technical documents for gas and electrical processes;
Other
Knowledge of EPDM is a plus;
Knowledge of risks related to hydrogen is a plus.
