Senior Consultant - Environmental et Social Impact Assessment ( Paris or Lyon) H/F

ERM is seeking a Senior Consultant - Environmental and Social for its Paris office to support and grow the international Impact Assessment team.

In this role, you will focus on managing international environmental & social impact assessment (ESIAs) and follow up activities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Serve as Project Manager for ESIAs, projects and related activities in support of ERM clients’ development projects in diverse sectors such as energy (renewables), and oil & gas.

- Project manage ESIAs and associated studies (including management plans), contribute to preparing impact assessment deliverables, serving in roles ranging from lead technical expert to quality review.

- Direct and monitor project management activities, including task delegation and direction, team management, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of commercial performance, deliverable quality review, and interaction with clients.

- Supervise project delivery activities such as report quality review, coordination and supervision of fieldwork activities as needed, data and literature review, and development of recommendations for clients.

- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, actively participate in business development with existing clients, and identified new leads. Maintain client relationships that generate repeated business.

- Develop and deliver training and facilitate meetings related to Capital Project Support projects and clients.

- Mentor junior and mid-level consulting staff to develop their skill-sets.

Profil recherché

REQUIREMENTS:

- Master's degree in environmental science/engineering, natural resources sciences, or similar field.

- At least +7 years of relevant experience, including consulting experience, in impact assessment. Operational and implementation experience of EHS management plans is a plus.

- High degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of E&S international standards.

- Renewable energy background with good understanding of CRE regulation for Renewable Energies in France.

- Technical skills in environmental and social baseline surveys and experience in field visits, including in remote locations.

- Demonstrated leadership ability to build, coach and mentor collaborative teams.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience writing comprehensive technical reports and standards, in both French and English.

- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.

- Cross-cultural competence and experience working with diverse project teams and stakeholders in developing countries.

- This role will require some domestic and international travel flexibility

- Cross-Service experience in biodiversity would be an advantage as well as experience in participating to public debate in France.
