We are looking to hire an experienced consultant whose focus will be to drive and identify business development opportunities for sustainability service offerings emanating from some our key accounts within the Energy sector. He/she will demonstrate solid experience in account management.
Established in France since 1994, ERM operates out of 2 main offices in Paris and Lyon. Our teams of consultants and engineers cater to the Sustainability, Health and Safety and Environmental needs of blue chip companies in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Construction Materials, Mining & Metals, Food and Luxury sectors.

The role
Based out of our Paris office (whilst benefitting from a flexible work environment), the successful candidate’s responsibilities will focus on identifying and developing business opportunities through relationship building and anticipating needs of our key client accounts within the Energy sector with a specific attention to services linked to the Low Carbon Economy Transition. He/she will support the successful delivery of ERM proposals and projects in line with our vision, values and our strategic imperatives.
With whom will I work?
This role will report into the Lead for Low Carbon Economy Transition (LCET) and High Growth High Value clients (HGHV) and work in close collaboration with the relevant Global Account Directors, and relevant managers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Identifying opportunities for evolving services in line with client needs in the Energy sector
Identifying follow-on sales opportunities in respect of designated projects
Contributing to achieving sales target by supporting Account Management teams in the Energy sector
Supporting the Account Manager or Account Director on assigned tasks for specific key or HGHV clients in the Energy sector
Adhering to all ERM and client requirements, specifically those related to H&S and governance
Ensure Zero Loss of Time Injuries (LTIs) and visible and demonstrable safety leadership as measured by engagement with ECS and the Active Leadership Audit programme
Ensure profitability of projects through efficient completion of activities, identification of changes or possible changes to scope, time, budget
Completion of tasks within project budget and time requirements Identification of efficiencies in carrying out deliverable related tasks
Client satisfaction through project communications & engagement, quality of outputs produced to deliver client service excellence
Minimize project risk through compliance with the project plan, PIC sign off of deliverables and the ERM risk management process
Accountable for meeting personal billability at the budgeted rate, personal sales contribution targets and relevant BU target
Role Requirements
In order to be successful in this role you will have a consolidated commercial background with an intricate knowledge and developed network within the energy industry. You are experienced in both account management and client business development alike and you have a good understanding of sustainability services.
The team wishes to welcome a self-starter who leads authentically and strategically, is comfortable in decision making and problem solving, as well as data analysis and digital environments. Strong fluency in English will be required to operate efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
This role is a new hire which is strategic in terms of growing the business, and will therefor benefit from good visibility within the organization and great career opportunities when successful.
