With regard to the scope of your activity, you will be responsible for coordinating the establishment's overall strategy and for scientific monitoring in relation to the integrated and sustainable management of groundwater and its uses and services provided in a context of global change, including climate change, addressing the three main objectives outlined in the BRGM's scientific strategy:
1.To further our understanding of the physical and biogeochemical processes involved in the functioning of aquifers at different levels.
2.To develop tools for modelling and assisting with the management of groundwater in extreme conditions.
3.To develop nature-based solutions, technological solutions and new modes of governance aimed at improving the integrated management of groundwater resources at a national level, for which scientific problems have been identified and described.
You will take four main dimensions into consideration:
1.The strategic dimension: forecasting, analysis, determining and developing the BRGM's scientific strategy.
2.The programming dimension: drafting a roadmap for the programme and its scientific content, putting forward plans of action.
3.The programme management dimension: coordinating and monitoring the scientific programme in concert with the college of experts and the relevant operational departments.
4.The representation/communication dimension:
-a scientific communication plan and representation within national, European and international networks, particularly in the water sector, co-coordinating AllEnvi's GT Eaux continentales;
-involvement in mirror groups of the JPI on Water and the article 165 PRIMA, in addition to acting as an expert at seminars and meetings held by the JPI on Water at a European level. At an international level,
