UPM Biomass Business is a part of UPM’s Wood Sourcing and Forestry operations. Biomass Business is responsible for the sales of wood and wood-based biomass to external customers and sourcing of wood and wood-based biomass from areas outside Europe. Biomass Business consists of Market Operations, Supply Solutions as well as Product and Supply Technology.

Biomass Business is looking for a

SENIOR SPECIALIST, OPERATIONS

The position of the Senior Specialist will be in Product and Supply Technology. He/she will support both Market Operations and Supply Solutions.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities :

- active participation in the design, licensing and construction of processing plants and the logistics chain from the source of feedstock to the customer
- supporting both UPM’s and suppliers’ plants in their operations, developing new feedstock, processes and technologies for processing of biomass together with internal and external specialists.

Other Information :

The job holder will report to Markku Halinen, Senior manager, Product and Supply Technology. The location of the position is negotiable preferably in one of the offices of UPM Wood Sourcing and Forestry in Finland, Germany or the UK.
