SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
ACTeon is looking for dynamic, innovative and qualified experts in the following fields to strengthen his team and respond to current needs.
 Policy evaluation & forward looking studies (prospective) - Development and evaluation of regional, national and European strategy and policy - Territorial & sector specific prospective studies & processes – Policy impact assessment, scenario building, forward-looking studies.
 Social processes & dynamics - (individual, collective) Perceptions and values - Behavioural changes and innovation - Governance & institutions – Social impact assessment.
 Environmental economics/economics - Behavioural economics – Valuation of ecosystem goods & services - Water & ecosystem accounts - Design and evaluation of economic instruments - Micro- and macro-economic modelling - Economic impact assessment
 Environmental law and policy – Design and implementation of environmental law – policy enforcement – (individual, collective) rights for natural resources (water, biodiversity, etc.)
EXPECTED TASKS
Key tasks of proposed positions include:
 Development and application of methods and tools for supporting policy and management decisions in the field of environment at different scales (from local to European);
 Support to the design and implementation of participatory strategy & policy development processes mobilising a wide range of actors and disciplines ;
 Research on innovative concepts, methods and tools applied to the management of natural resources and to the environment;
 Development of EU-wide comparative studies on environmental policy making;
 Reporting and communication as support to policy processes;
 Capacity building for organisations and individuals.
 Contribution to the development of new projects and research initiatives (including on new policy domains & areas of expertise).
In the medium term, ACTeon will provide opportunities for experts to take initiatives and responsibilities in their areas of interest in terms of content, methods and geographic focus.
ADMINISTRATIVE & WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
These are full time positions at ACTeon in accordance to French regulation and law in terms of social security, holidays, etc. Depending on the experience and expectations of potential candidates, both permanent positions and temporary contracts (minimum one year) are considered. Confirmation of the appointment will take place after a two month probation period that can be renewed once in case of permanent position. The yearly salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include complementary social security, financial support to commuting in public transport, “ticket repas”, etc.
The successful candidate will be part of a young and inspiring team of 15 colleagues. She/he will work in collaborative projects involving a wide range of organisations with different expertise (technical, socio-economics, institutional) and from different (mainly EU) countries. ACTeon is also involved in European wide studies and research, including for the European Commission (DG Research, DG Environment) and the European Environment Agency.
The positions will be located in ACTeon’s Colmar head office, the possibility of being located at ACTeon’s Grenoble office being envisaged. The possibility to work partially from home can be considered after a certain time period. The position includes missions abroad (within ACTeon’s geographic focus areas).
Starting date of the appointment is at the earliest accounting for potential constraints of the successful candidate(s).
