Job :
The main purpose of the role is to:
Participating in a wide range of technical analysis work and be responsible for the delivery management of routine work. Taking a proactive role in facilitating the growth and expansion of our technical capability.
Leadership and people development :
• Provide assistance and training to your team-mates where relevant.
• Assist with mentoring and personal development of members of the department.
• Line management and resource management of sub-team (if required).
Financial (3%)
• Enforce and contribute to necessary department financial reporting, ensuring:
• All team members’ timesheets are kept up-to-date and submitted in the necessary timeframe.
• The department FA is provided with all the necessary information, or that other requests for such information are promptly addressed, in order for the necessary financial invoicing and reporting to be fully completed.
• Suggest how efficiencies can be made within the department.
• Provide project managers with feedback on project budgets upon completion of tasks
The post holder will be responsible for the financial control and reporting of projects assigned to their management.
Business Development
• Deliver a professional service to each client ensuring the company’s interest is always maintained.
• Keep abreast of market activity and identify business development and sales opportunities.
• Communicate effectively within the department, other colleagues and clients, in order for business and project objectives to be realised. Provide support to colleagues as required.
• Support all business development activities and generation of leads where possible.
• Manage client relationships.
• Advise clients on the most appropriate route to meet their objectives.
• Assist with the co-preparation and delivery of tenders/bids/quotes.
Methods and innovations
• Take an active involvement in R&D groups, providing resource to ensure R&D projects are progressed.
• Stay up to date with developments in tools/methods/assumptions at Industry level.
Operational
• Managing projects assigned to you.
• Preparation of deliverables using a combination of in-house tools and industry standard software.
• Work within and ensure that systems and processes, both Company core procedures and department specific procedures, are implemented and adhered to.
• Participation in departmental meetings as required.
Requirement category :
• Fluent in English, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
• Highly IT literate and detail oriented
• Health and Safety conscious
• Ability to maintain a high level of quality while working under pressure
• Experience in the renewable energy industry, specifically in wind energy assessment and/or SCADA systems
• Proven track record in Wind Analysis with a solid understanding of the principles employed.
• Matlab, Python or other programming skills
• Self-motivated, organised and confident attitude to work with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
