The Boone Comenor Metalimpex company, which belongs to Suez Recycling and Waste Valorisation, specialized in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap recycling, is looking, for its subsidiary in Spain, Metalimpex Iberica, a:

Quality Coordinator (M/F)

The position is set at Metalimpex Iberica headquarters, located in Magaz de Pisuerga (Castilla y León).

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Quality Coordinator will provide clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality.

In his/her perimeter composed of Metalimpex Iberica headquarters and various yards, his/her main missions will be:

A/ Plan
• Ensure rules and regulations compliance in respect of quality, hygiene, safety and environment
• Guarantee the Integrated Management System compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 new standards and Group requirements
• Support all Process Responsibles (including team leaders) by identifying areas of improvement and propose preventive and corrective action plans
• Define and update the annual planning of HSE preventive activities


B/ Do

• Duplicate BCM Group QHSE system in terms of documentation
• Help Process Responsibles prepare ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification audits
• Train teams in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
• Make incident analysis, write incident flash and support action plans implementation
• Pool and share good practices to improve operational performance
• Work proactively with all Managers, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a program of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility
• Communicate appropriate information to BCM Group QHSE Department
• Communicate with external parties to the Company in relation to Quality matters


C/ Check and Act
• Manage internal audits and QHSE visits on yards to make sure that rules and regulations are respected, Group requirements are taken into account and preventive and corrective improvement action plans are implemented
• Follow very closely ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification audits execution
• Cooperate actively with teams in producing non conformity reports
• Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
• Ensure that all procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
• Support Process Responsibles by applying ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications
• Work closely with Process Responsibles to ensure that risk management (environmental, sales, financial…) is in compliance with the corporate methodology
• Assist managers in the establishment of contract reviews and proceed to operational checks during field visits
• Assist the HSE Coordinator and the Management in the achievement of the Management Review


The Quality Coordinator will have to cooperate closely with the Health Safety and Environment Coordinator and must be able to take over his/her perimeter in case of absence.
