Financial Officer for SUEZ International branch in Romania H/F

Present in all 5 continents, SUEZ is a world leader in the sustainable management of municipal and industrial resources, with a turnover of 15.3 billion euros. The 82 000 employees of SUEZ are engaged in the resource revolution around the world through 4 activities: Recycling & Recovery, Water Services, Water Treatment Infrastructures and Consulting.

The International Division of SUEZ is currently opening a new Branch in Romania (Bucharest). This Branch will be executing a contract with the Municipality of Bucharest for the extension of the water line and the construction of a sludge incineration plant (50mEUR turnover for SUEZ). The Branch will also be the starting point of SUEZ business development activities in Romania.

We are looking for a financial officer for SUEZ’s branch in Romania (position based in Bucharest). He/She reports directly to the Branch Manager and functionally to the Chief Financial Officer for Europe. His/Her main missions are: Financial Officer for the Construction Contract of Bucharest

·     Prepares budget  actualizations of the project

·      Contributes to identify, assess and mitigate financial risks (including FX risks)

·      Prepares invoices and follows-up overdues

·      Controls all project-related costs (local costs as well as off-shore costs)

·      Monitors closely the project cash-flows

·      Prepares monthly reportings to SUEZ, along with the Project Manager

· Manages financial relationships with the project stakeholders (Client, Consortium, Subcontractors, Suppliers, HQ Financial teams)

·    Coordinates all financial aspects of the implementation of the contract’s Consortium and start of the contract’s execution, in close relation with Head Office support functions (Legal, Treasury, Accounting, etc.)

·     Ensures coordination with Contract Management to optimize the execution strategy of the contract and all related financial impacts Administrative and Financial Manager for the Branch

·    Implements administrative and financial processes of the branch, in compliance with SUEZ guidelines

·    Ensures branch’s compliance with SUEZ’s procedures, accounting rules and internal control

·  Supervises the accounting (externalized) and closing process: Local Financial Statements and Accounting reports for the HQ accounting team in Paris

·      Participates in the implementation of SUEZ’s accounting software

·      Ensures tax declarations and the compliance to local tax obligations

·      Ensures branch’ cash management and cash forecast

·    Controls, approves and edits payments to subcontractors, suppliers, employees and authorities

·     Manages relationships with banks, accounting company, legal auditors and all relevant external advisors Financial Assistance for Business Development Activities in Romania

·    Participates in the first review of price sheets for commercial developments in Romania before submission to the central team

·     Conducts benchmarks to validate all local cost forecasts in our commercial offers

Profil recherché

5 to 10-year experience in a similar position     
Knowledge of the Design and Build environment mandatory     
Excellent knowledge of Romanian legal and financial background     
Romanian mother tongue speaker, fluent English, spoken and written      Experience in working with foreign companies / in multicultural teams
