As an integral member of the Delivery team, supports Expediting and Quality Control activities with the company and its subsidiaries and intervenes after assessment of the level of risk on the delivery from equipment suppliers.

You will be in charge of defining, supporting and monitoring the Expediting, Quality Control and Inspections activities of the DBO projects.

Performance KPIs: Suppliers delivery and quality performance.

Main Responsibilities:

General

Background on Mechanical, hydraulic and Electrical equipment.

Knows most common mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, blower...), piping...

Ability to manage an Inspection Test Plan (ITP).

Review of technical specification of equipment.

Understand Equipment fabrication.

Ability to verify equipment functionality and to detect dysfunctionality and/or failure (corrosion, welding defect, noise, vibration, leakage...).

Knows materials main criteria and characteristics.

Defines the quality acceptance criteria for usual equipment (pumps, blower...).

Master fabrication shop inspections, tests witnessing, non-conformity...

Knowledge of international norms and codes   (ISO, ATEX, API, ASME...) and their implementation.

Ability to analyze equipment defect and prescribe and / or implement corrective action.

Validation of quality documentation.

Review of Raw material Certificates.

Ability to perform inspection at vendor and / or subcontractor facility.

Defines the Expediting and QA/QC Plan and Strategy.

Corrective action with technical department support and / or external support.

Ability to handle Expediting and QA/QC responsibility in senior level.

Knowledge of destructive testing and non-destructive testing.

Ability to provide support and technical services regarding the quality control process internally and externally.

Welding supervision.

Participate to the improvement of the Expediting and Quality Control process.

To manage a team of Expeditors and Inspectors and monitor the goal to meet the delivery requirements of manufactured products associated to international standards such as ISO, ASME, API...

Expertise in international standards for Electro-Mechanical equipment.

Validate the quality control strategy and process.

Issuing Expediting and Control Quality Management Plan for the Company.

Able to train in Expediting and Quality Control.

Is an expert in Quality and Safety Management Systems.

Ensures the control of the contractual deadlines associated to ordered equipment.

Suppliers follow up and management piloting to accomplish the objectives in terms of delivery dates.

Controls the contractual delivery dates of equipment and documentation, according to “site” and project milestones interfaces.

Reports to internal and external customers about all detected delay in the equipment delivery.

Reports to QA&QC or HSE department all anomalies and deviations found (occupational / environmental accidents, damage to property, bullying, sexual harassment, near misses, nonconformities, not compliance with a legal or contractual requirement, unsafe behaviour, etc.

Additional requirements may be required at certain local entities.

Inspections:

For the ordered equipment, ensures that the product quality is in accordance with the contract premises, mainly for:

Requested material.

Performance quality (welding, coating,).

Compliance with the drawings.

Compliance with the results of controls and test (according to the values indicated in the particular specifications) + applicable rules and regulations in the concerned country.

Other particular points required in the Inspection Program Points.

Coordinate inspections of projects between suppliers and inspection agency.

Provides a report of the inspection and a Final Inspection Certificate to authorize the delivery of the equipment on site.

Expediting (visit to suppliers):

Contract revision (Standards, technical specifications ...), purchase order acknowledge.

Documentation review (from Supplier and Costumer).

State of progress in relation to the contractual planning.

State and progress of the outsourcing provider of the supplier.

Manufacturing detailed progress.

Point on required tests.

Packing and shipping instructions revision.

Other problems, analysis of the possible delays.

If necessary, planning update in accordance with the results of the visit.

Actions plan proposal.

Performs an Expediting report concerning the visit, with an estimation about the delays and/or reschedule a new delivery date.
