Operating over the 5 continents and composed of 80 000 employees, Suez is specialized in services and industrial solutions for the valorization and safeguarding of resources. Suez Recycling and Recovery offers management and material recycling solutions, energetic or biological, for all types of waste in order to produce new resources.

Teams play a great role in collecting, separating, dismantling, recycling and contribute to the valorization and distribution of new resources by providing specialized services to industrial customers.

Boone Comenor Metalimpex, which belongs to Suez Recycling and Recovery is specialized in recycling ferrous and non-ferrous scrap generated by the automotive industry. We hire for our new Indian subsidiary, a : Operations & Business Development Manager (M/F)

This position will be located between Chennai and Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India and involves travel around the area and India.

Operations & Business Development Manager is a newly created position reporting directly to the Group General Manager to support the recent implantation of Metalimpex in India.

The Operations & Business Development Manager is in charge of implementing contracts with the automotive industry: car makers and Tier 1 suppliers. He / She also manages the development of customer’s portfolio mainly composed of foundries and steel mills. 

The main missions would be:

1/ Build state-of-the-art operations and drive the first car maker contract: 
- Install on-site operation in respect with Metalimpex group quality, safety, ethics and cleanliness standards 
- Hire employees to start operations inside industrial plants
- Monitor and make decisions about resources related to employees and infrastructures
- Make decisions about the company operations as well as purchasing of materials/equipment according to the group rules
- Set up annual budget according to internal procedures and policy
- Adapt workers abilities to the needs of the company and develop their skills
- Circulate EQS Management system, policy and objectives among the staff
- Communicate largely about the importance of clients’ requirements accomplishment as well as normative regulations
- Make sure responsibilities and authorities of workers are set and well-known among the organization
- Ensure communication and reporting between Metalimpex and the car maker team. 

2/ Business development related to the starting-up of the new activity 
- Analyse the market environment composed of car makers & Tier 1 suppliers, foundries and steel mills customers
- Identify business development opportunities and forecast sales targets
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
- Determine financial orientations
- Identify potential customers and the decision makers within customers organizations
- Prospect, research and build relationships with new suppliers and customers
- Conduct competitive/market intelligence, technical benchmarking and convey feedbacks to the headquarters
- Define and implement the subsidiary’s strategy in accordance with the Group General Manager and collaborate with him regarding globalized purchases/sales transactions
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and customers about prices, payments and contract conditions of services supplied
- Monitor authorization of orders in respect of internal Group procedures

Profil recherché

Operations & Business Development Manager for Indian subsidiary may also have following abilities:
- Education : University degree in business, mechanical or environment engineering or other suitable education
- At least 7 years of managing experience, preferably in steel or foundry industry and/or automotive industry
- High appreciation of the Indian automotive industry market
- Negotiation and sales skills
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial control
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Highly trustful and reliable personality
- Team player, self-confident oriented
- Readiness to travel
- Written and spoken English (mandatory), French would be an advantage
