Business Development Manager - Southern Europe H/F

DEGREMONT designs, builds and commissions facilities for drinking water production and reverse osmosis desalination, wastewater treatment and sludge treatment. Based on the needs of clients, DEGREMONT offers services including the direct management of facilities as well as all additional services required for their ongoing operation. Either directly or via DEGREMONT Technologies, DEGREMONT also offers customers specific solutions for disinfection, thermal sludge drying, incineration etc.

To manage long term business relationships with clients at national/regional level in order to generate, prepare, track and follow new affairs / bids, allowing the growth of DEGREMONT’s business on the Southern Europe Market, DEGREMONT offers a position of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AREA MANAGER FOR SOUTHERN EUROPE with a focus on Ex-Yugoslavia; Italy is not part of the scope of responsibility.

The main responsibilities are to:

- Establish DEGREMONT as a main Southern Europe player in the water treatment industry for municipal and industrial customers
- Negotiate, sign and put into force contracts
- Follow long term relationship with existing clients, and identify new projects
- Propose and implement, in accordance with the Group strategy and resources, a specific commercial action plan for Southern Europe in order to secure the projects
- Analyze business, partners, clients, and any contributors to our markets in Southern Europe.

- Promote all DEGREMONT solutions to clients/partners and participate in marketing communication in Southern Europe.
- Build, with the support of the proposal manager, a winning proposal strategy and the action plan of the tender according to the client’s needs.
- Identify the appropriate partners.
- Deploy the bid action plan by following the client and guiding the project engineer on the technical, financial, fiscal and contractual aspects of the project.
- Sign the partnership agreement and maintains relationships with clients along with the project manager in order to help the turnover growth
- Support commercially the execution team during construction
- Manage the office for all administration tasks.

The position is based in Milan, with frequent business trips within the country and DEGREMONT facilities in France and Europe.

The business development area manager will work under the supervision of the Business Development Director of Southern Europe, based in Milan. He will have close relation with the proposal team in Milan and Paris, marketing, legal, and design departments of the company.

Profil recherché

Profil

- University degree in engineering, business or MBA equivalent
- 10 years of experience in Business Development, with perfect command of Southern Europe public markets
- Good knowledge of water treatment technologies and process
- Manager with proven track record in sales environment
- Strong relationship skills
- Effective in a hands-on organizational
- Results-oriented, pragmatic, dynamic
- Team player with proven leadership skills

Other requirements

- Willingness to travel / approximately 70% travelling in Southern Europe (except Italy)  and to the DEGREMONT facilities in France and Europe
- Languages: Mother tongue Serbo-Croatian. Fluent in English. French language welcome.
