BRGM recruits on permanent contract, the French team leader of IFCGR, Indo-French Centre for Groundwater Research, for Water, Environment and Eco technologies department (D3E).

BRGM and NGRI (National Geophysical Research Institute) established in 1999 at Hyderabad (India) a joint research laboratory: IFCGR (Indo-French Centre for Groundwater Research), which requires a team leader (IFCGR is led by two « co-leaders », one of them from NGRI and the other one from BRGM).

You will be in charge of:
- Co-leading and running the research center, in collaboration with our Indian partner and D3E department (Water, Environment and Eco technologies department) of BRGM ; therefore, you will be in charge of a team composed by 2 or 3 French expatriate researchers and Europeans and Indian trainees ; you shall insure the good functioning (scientific, administrative and financial) of the center with the Indian partner, and you shall organize the annual meetings, scientific and steering committees, once a year, as well as MOU extension (Memorandum of Understanding) between BRGM and NGRI in due course ;
- Managing the « IFCGR » Project within the scientific program RSE13 Aquifers potential and resource management with the respect of quality, costs and timing; participating to other research projects on artificial recharge of aquifers, on integrated management of water resource regarding quantity, quality and socio-economy;
- Suggesting a strategy to develop the IFCGR R&D activity, in India and bordering countries, in collaboration with the Indian partner, D3E department (Water, Environment and Eco technologies department), and the several BRGM program directions (Research direction (DR), commercial direction and international cooperation (DCCI)) ;
- Looking for external funds by bidding to R&D offers and by developing new projects with our external partners (UC, MEA, local authorities, development bank ...) ;
- Consolidating the local partnership (future customers, administrations, research institutes, universities...) and the link with the other Indo-French Centers for Research and other Europeans partners ? including Danish partners - in hydrogeology and hydro-geophysics ;
- Supervising field works on the local sites studied around Hyderabad, and approved by INSU, as part of SOERE H+, and insuring the application of effective security rules ;
- Insuring the recognition and scientific reconnaissance of IFCGR in India and at the international level by publishing yourself and by encouraging the other researchers to write international publications in Indian magazines, by participating actively to congress, by organizing conferences or specific courses etc.
- In general, supporting the BRGM actions in India with D3E department, DR department and DCCI department.
