Business Development Manager - Wind energy sector H/F

Description du poste

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for our client specialized in wind ernergy sector.

- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for originating, framing, leading and managing new business and commercial opportunities for our group through partnerships and acquisitions in the French onshore wind energy market, possibly extending to other renewable technologies on an opportunistic basis. - The targets shall be a cleverly-assembled combination of fully developed and partially-developed assets offering the potential to provide a realistic steady deal flow of financing and construction projects to our group and a winning competitive seat in the French wind energy market within 3 to 5 years.
- For the medium term the Business Development Manager will also be responsible for leading the preparation and progress of our group’s strategy regarding the upcoming PPA tenders and auctions set to supersede the current Feed-In-Tariff and securing commercial opportunities for our future projects through these new offtake schemes.
- The candidate shall be responsible for leading and handling NDA, MoU and SPA negotiations with third parties and identifying and informing about the impact of the proposed negotiated positions on all the other sides of the business. Hence the individual will be a team player, capable of progressing in autonomy but guaranteeing involvement of the other facets of the business (development, construction, finance etc) as needed and on an ongoing basis. In particular the Business Development Manager will work with the Development Director and team to organize the due diligence and assessment of the targeted assets and their level of progress and risk.
- The candidate shall be able to assess the value of the target assets using industry-standard financial valuation and modeling techniques and practices (NPV, free cash flows etc).

Profil recherché

- The ideal candidate will be an upbeat, energetic and creative individual with a highly structured mindset, strong business acumen and financial modeling, deal-making and contract mastery. We expect candidates with a 7 to 10-year relevant experience to best fit the position.
- An engineering or business graduate degree level is required and total fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- The candidate will exhibit a proven track record in generating and delivering business development opportunities in the wind energy market in France and possibly abroad.
- The role requires a good command of all the phases of the project lifecycle (development, construction, financing, operations) in order to properly integrate and interface with our team and processes but also to progress autonomously and screen rapidly for the best opportunities without wasting resources.
- An actual detailed work experience beyond business development in one of the project areas such as development or financing will be highly valued.
- This is a full time position based in Paris with frequent traveling throughout France, occasionally to Europe and the world
