We are looking for Apprentice Cost estimator Engineer (H/F)
Main Accountabilities
He confirms with the Proposal leader and the appointed Supply Chain Project Manager the content of his scope and the methods to be followed for the various categories of materials : RFQs, use of quotation from previous projects, use of ratios etc…
He follows the internal purchasing policies such as those of imposed by the category Management, the use of framework agreement etc…
He uses the internal standard costing tools and templates, as defined by the Proposal Plateform.
Based on the technical documents such as tender requirements, technical specifications, process design deliverables (mainly P&ID and lists), drawings or 3D model database extractions, isometrics if any, he puts together the necessary bill of quantities for costing the proposal.
He prepares the Request for Quotations in coordination with the Supply Chain Plateform.
He defines and negotiates with vendors the best possible solutions and prepares technical and financial evaluations. He contributes to the final choices for the Proposal.
He builds the internal cost estimation price sheet.
He documents the technical data sheet that will be included in the proposal and collect the necessary documentation if any.
He reports to the Proposal Leader on all risks associated to technical specifications (choice of material, technology, suppliers references etc), and proposes mitigation strategies.
He follows suppliers and manufacturer improvements and new technologies.
He maintains the price database of Degremont.
The Cost Estimator (Engineer or Technician) has a good technical know-how/experience in the field of water treatment equipments (previous experience in plant design office or engineering department).
He is rigorous, accurate in one’s work, familiar with Excel and cost estimation software/database.
A good knowledge in materials, piping accessories and fitting is also required.
He enjoys the team work and will need to be flexible with working hours.
He is fluent in English for export markets.
